• Moa Edvinsson is the person behind MOAEDVIN. She is a Malmö-based bookbinder, illustrator and artist. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Konstfack in 2024, Moa has introduced her newfound love for bookbinding to her artistry. She prefers to mix in a plant theme and earthy colors. The materials used are a mix of new, found and handmade. Each book is unique and made with curiosity. Reusing and the need to give the old and discarded a second chance, she also creates book jewelry from what is left over.

  • In addition to bookbinding, Moa is an illustrator and multidisciplinary artist. Themes, symbolism and feeling often come before technique and expression. Her latest exhibition DUKAT is a series of acrylic paintings with coffee as the common thread. Her artist book Växtvärk is currently being developed into a book together with illustrator Lou Lundkvist.

  • Recurring themes in her work reflect the autistic longing for peace and to be content with the feeling of feeling different. In her bookbinding lies the happiness of tactility. To feel materials interacting and to have the weight of something analog in your hand. Something corporeal. And of course to make room for stories and lists in the form of a book.

Moa has a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Konstfack Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm (2021-2024) and has previously studied Art at Lunnevads Folkhögskola (2019-2021).
